It is official, I am now a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. I thought that I would never come to this point but it has arrived and was actually a lot easier than I had anticipated. Please keep me in your prayers as I continue to discern the priesthood and I hope that when this is all done and finished I may have the faculties to celebrate a mass for you all. I am finishing off my last year at Ave Maria University which is very beautiful. It actually feels like I am in a University and not stuck in some place that really does not feel like a school. When I finish up here I will enter St. John's seminary in Camarillo California where I will spend four more years of studies and internship to become a diocesan priest for L.A. Thanks for your prayers and devotions and I will continue to pray for all of you.

This post is dedicated to the death of my cousin. May his family be strong in this time of great misfortune and may God have mercy upon his soul. Please pray for the soul of Xavier who was only seventeen years old, and also please pray for his brother and sister who are still in critical condition. Your prayers are greatly needed!

Cold!

So fall has finally hit southern Florida. It has dropped to a freezing 60 degrees and a night time low of 40. I thought I got away form the cold, then I look at the temperatures elsewhere and it hits me...oh yeah its not cold! I will be going home for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and will have a retreat for the beginning of spring break. The rest of the days off are still up in the air. If you desire to have my presence let me know and I will gladly try my best to see that your wish comes true...wink! I will post more later and try to get the fishers of men trailer up and running. Almost Mid-Terms

Well mid-terms are approaching fast and classes are now in full swing. Time flies down south and the weather is beautiful, the sea breeze is cool, and the ocean is well the ocean. I had a weird run in with Fr. Fessio and Ave Maria College. He approached me and knew my name and asked where I was from. I told him and then said Ave Maria College, huh I could of foresaw that look of evil in his eyes when I mentioned my true Alma Mater. He said okay, then see you around and left me. What a conversation. Well I will keep on updating the funny run ins with people and the awkward look of priests. It must be because I am Mexican!!!

Life Goes On!

Life has unexpected twists and turns, pains and sufferings, but it is in these sufferings that we find love and mercy, peace and happiness. This summer I again traveled this path, losing those who were close to me, but I failed to see that the only thing I needed to do was simply step out into the unknown depths of Love for God, where in all his splendor He is waiting for me too pick up my cross that has been prepared for me. Though sometimes the sufferings are unbearable, the Lord's love comforts me filling me with complete faith and confidence. May God be Blessed.
